IN THE END ALL THAT MATTERS IS
HOW MUCH LOVE ONE COULD FEEL AND SHARE
Eve Genua was born in 1987 in Russia, currently working between Mexico and Costa Rica.
Her artistic practice is guided by a curiosity about human nature, identity, and authenticity. Leaving Russia at an early age and moving between different countries and cultures became a journey in search of personal freedom, until she realized that true liberation she was seeking for is the one from her own judgments and expectations.
In her work, she explores the layers of conditioning that shape our identities, inviting the viewer to look beyond the masks we wear in pursuit of love and affection. Driven by a desire to witness the pure soul, she portrays characters whose penetrating glance and bold presence invite observers to look deep inside and connect with their own unchangeable, genuine essence.
Using vulnerability as a tool and her intimate connections as a ground for investigation, she creates an honest record of raw moments, feelings, and emotions, questioning how the ability to give and receive love defines our personal and collective evolution as a human race.
