I hope you know the anxiety and bliss of being in love - the peace, and joy, and tenderness, along with sadness, desperation, and loneliness. I really hope that after everything you've been through, overcome, felt, fought for, suffered, and questioned, you can still keep your heart open. I hope you can still feel everything as if for the first time. I hope you can bring light to all the dark places and always remember that love can never harm - it can only cure.

There are moments when I feel so sensitive and emotional, tender and soft, wanting to be held and protected, longing for love and care. There are others when I feel so much power and force, ready to move mountains, independent and fearful like a warrior, able to hold the whole world. The trick is to learn how to combine both - how to be strong while keeping the heart soft and open, how to feel everything while remembering that the source of happiness, peace and love is inside.

That conversation, in some local bar in colonial town - it really got stuck with me. Your stories of how you enjoyed your life being single, all the romantic adventures, "free-love" parties at your home, funny dramas of “friends with benefits”, lovers, multiple partners. And there you were sad, sad and lost, that now you are in a relationship, where that part of you is absolutely dead. That you can't even show that part of yourself to your partner.

And I was impressed by how far we go in abandoning ourselves out of fear of being abandoned, being alone, or not being chosen. How much we get conditioned by how love is meant to be, to feel, to be given. And how deeply we can get stuck in the illusion that the love is limited or finite.

Even a little tiny sneak peak into "imagine being loved the way you love" makes my heart melt and breath out and as if a big heavy bag just felt off my shoulders. Yes. Love doesn't always have to be a battle for attention, learning how to accept and love someone unconditionally, or trying to be better. Someone is just ready to love you as you are in this moment, not into your potential. And without doubts and second guessing. Con lo que sos, alcanza y sobra.
