Imagine to live in a world where every person can Feel Loved and Be Free to live in their Authentic Truth
PORTRAIT SERIES / 2022 - 2023
Layers of Truth
How many brushstrokes have painted our individual story, creating layers of conditioning, shaping who we are with each experience. How many times we have hidden behind the masks, trying to fit in, avoid the judgement of people around us. All we've ever wanted is to be loved and accepted, and in this desire we used to pretend a little to be someone else - someone easier to love. "Layers of Truth" series of paintings came to life in Mexican colonial town - Valladolid. Inspired by the walls of an old town which carry multiple layers of paint over them, encrypted with memories that has being lived throughout decades. Under those layers, there are thick concrete walls - a strong base which has remained untouched.

Just like the real us are always within ourselves. Behind the masks, behind the appearances, behind the conditioning, behind the good and bads that shaped us, our truth is always here. Will we dare to look deep inside?
LIGHTS AND SHADOWS
Mixed media on canvas, 139x99cm, 2022
When you can understand and accept your own shadows, you finally become authentic. A human being whose frequency automatically evolves to higher and higher levels through the power of self-acceptance.
SPEAKING OF FREEDOM
Mixed media on canvas, 139x96cm, 2022
It is in the presence of those who feel comfortable and free in their own skin, do we sense an expansive field where we too can drop into our authentic being. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES
Mixed media on canvas, 139x99cm, 2022
Only embracing our wilderness can we stay true to our nature. We were born free, yet in illusion of separation by our skin from the outside world. Can we remember to look beyond, deep deep inside, so we realize our oneness with all that is?
Evgenia was born in 1987 in Russia and is currently based in Costa Rica. She is a self-taught figurative artist, exploring the themes of human nature, identity, and authenticity. Much of her life journey was a quest for finding personal freedom - moving further away from her upbringing context, only to find out that the only thing she wanted to be free from were her beliefs, self-limits, and the process of self-judgment. With each figure she portrays, she invites the viewer to look deep inside their soul, see through all the masks and layers of conditioning used for protection, inviting them to drop them and show up in absolute truth and bold authentic presence. She believes that by letting our inner light shine, being vulnerable, and showing up as we are, we automatically liberate others to do the same - to be seen, loved, and accepted for their true nature.

All her work underlines the importance of unconditional love in the process of personal and collective evolution.
